Cookie Policy and Similar Technologies

1. What they are

Cookies are small files a site stores on your device in order to work or to measure its use. We also use two similar browser technologies: «local storage» (localStorage), which keeps preferences on your device until you clear it, and «session storage» (sessionStorage), which is erased on its own when you close the tab. Neither is sent to a server by itself. In this policy, «cookies» refers to all three.

2. Strictly necessary cookies

These let the site and your project portal work. They do not require your consent and are not used for advertising or tracking. They are CONIKA's own:

· «conika_s»: keeps you signed in to the portal. A secure cookie (httpOnly), lasting 30 days and renewed while you use it.

· «conika_v»: remembers that this browser has already entered your project, so we do not repeat the security notices. A secure cookie (httpOnly), lasting up to 400 days.

· «conika_td»: only if you turned on two-step verification and marked this device as trusted. It saves you from being asked for the six-digit code every time you sign in from it. A secure cookie (httpOnly), lasting 30 days, and it does not apply if we detect a sign-in from a new country. You can cancel it by clearing the site's cookies or by removing the trusted device from your portal.

· Preferences kept in your browser (local storage): your cookie choice, with a random consent code, valid for 12 months (see «Your control»); your email address while you sign in (erased when you finish); the language, your project's country if you chose it, the light or dark theme and the text size you chose; the portal section that a link in one of our emails opens, while you sign in (it lasts 30 minutes); and markers that you have already seen certain screens or that you have a quick sign-in (Face ID or fingerprint) saved on this device. They do not identify you to third parties.

· Data from the current visit (session storage): where you were on a page, so you can return to that point if you leave and come back, and what you have chosen so far while scheduling or building an estimate, so it is not lost if the page reloads. They are erased when you close the tab and never include your name, email address or phone number.

3. Traffic measurement (analytics)

We use Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to count visits and measure page speed, in aggregate and without cookies. Neither uses cookies, neither identifies you and neither tracks you across sites; that is why they do not require your consent. On the private addresses of your project the address is anonymised before it leaves your browser, so the measurement records that a visit happened and never your access credential. Even so, you can turn it off in «Cookie settings», and «Decline all» turns it off too.

4. Advertising (requires your consent)

Only if you tap «Accept all» on the notice, or turn it on in «Cookie settings», do we activate the Meta Pixel. It sets Meta cookies («_fbp», and «_fbc» if you arrived from an ad) that last up to 90 days, and it tells Meta which public pages you visit, whether you tap «Schedule» and whether you schedule a conversation, with the service and the project's country. That is how we know which campaigns bring conversations and improve our advertising, and Meta uses that data to decide whom to show our ads on Facebook and Instagram. We do not send Meta your name, email address or phone number, and the Pixel never sends data from your portal or from your project's documents. These are third-party cookies, managed by Meta Platforms, Inc., which may process them on servers outside Colombia (United States). If you decline them, they are not activated. If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal, the notice tells you so and advertising starts switched off.

5. Typefaces and location

The site's typefaces load from Adobe Fonts, which sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser, but receives your browser's IP address and counts the loads for the font license. To estimate your country we use the approximate location that our hosting provider (Vercel) derives from your IP address, without sending it to anyone else. And if, while scheduling, you tap «Detect my location», your browser asks for your permission and the location is turned into a city on your own device: the coordinates never leave it, and we only receive the city you confirm when you schedule.

6. Your control

The first time you visit the site you will see a notice with «Decline all», «Accept all» and «Settings», where you choose by category: the necessary ones are always on, anonymous measurement is on until you turn it off, and advertising is off until you turn it on. «Decline all» turns off measurement and advertising; the necessary ones stay, because without them the portal does not work. Your choice is valid for 12 months: after that, or if the list of third parties in this policy changes, we ask you again. You can change it at any time with the button below, or from «Cookie settings» in the menu (≡) and in the site footer: if you turn advertising off, the Pixel stops sending data and we delete Meta's cookies from this site. You can also clear the site's cookies and storage from your browser (the notice will appear again), or manage Meta advertising from your Meta account settings.

7. Record of your choice

Each time you decide, we keep a record as proof of your authorization: the consent code you see in the settings panel, the date, what you chose in each category, the version of this policy, the language and your approximate country. We do not store your IP address, your name or your email. We keep it for 3 years from each decision and then it is deleted automatically. If you want us to delete it sooner, write to us with your code.
